Selamat Jalan






Adik-adik.. jangan sedih ye.. kesatlah air mata dengan tisu. kakak-kakak kangen kali sama adik-adik. Insya Allah kita kan bertemu lagi, kalau bukan di dunia ini.. di syurga nanti PASTI..Amiin

Ini lagu yang adik-adik nyanyikan buat kakak-kakak di malam Wida', tak mungkin kami lupakan hingga akhir hayat nanti..

Saatnya kita ketemu lagi, tak akan kami melepas adik-adik pergi, semoga pertemuan itu indah seindah pertemuan pertama kita.. malah lebih indah lagi.

Jangan pernah berhenti menyimpan mimpi, biar apapun, biar harus seorang, biar penuh kesulitan, kerna yakinlah kalian dijanjikan masa depan yang gemilang dengan Al-qur'an yang penuh di dada dan diri2 yang telah mantap dibina dengan qiyamullail,nawafil, dan sawm kalian, Allah pasti takkan mensia-siakan, dan kakak-kakak juga tak ada yang merisaukan. Kalian berada di bawah penjagaan Allah selalu.

Yakinlah... kerna Allah itu maha Adil.

Kembara 2 Gempa: Outreach Program 5

SHARING PROGRAM WITH PESANTREN STUDENTS

Venue: Jorong Kukuban Mosque, Nagari Maninjau, Tanjung Raya

Participants: 43 students age 12 - 18 years old

Objectives:

  1. To foster ukhuwwah Islamiyyah with the students of Pondok Pesantren Prof HAMKA
  2. To educate the students regarding basic health care.
  3. To motivate the students in their studies by sharing experience and tips on study and examination.
  4. To emphasize the importance of English among students
  5. To distribute the donations collected from Malaysia

Program 1: Ice-Breaking and Motivational Program

Date: 6th June 2010 / Sunday

Time: 4.30 pm – 6.30 pm

Tentative:

4.30 pm: Preparation and arrival of students

4.45 pm: Introduction by Head of Facilitator, Sr. Nazhiyah

Taaruf session by facilitators

5.00 pm: Motivational talk by Sr. Iman on ‘Exam Preparation’

5.30 pm: Group activity:

o Students were divided into smaller group consisting of 6-8 students.

o Taaruf session among facilitators in each group with students.

o Activities emphasizing on self-potential and life mission held by facilitators.

6.15 pm: Resolution session by Sr. Nazhiyah

6.30 pm: Dismiss

Program 2: English Is Fun Program

Date: 8th June 2010 / Tuesday

Time: 4.30 pm – 6.30 pm

Tentative:

4.30 pm: Preparation and arrival of students

4.45 pm: Opening drama by Sr. Solehah and Sr. Nabilah

4.50 pm: Spell it Right conducted by Sr. Nadzirah

5.20 pm: Share-It conducted by Sr. Nur Zila

Program 3: ‘Pendidikan Keremajaan’ (for female students)

Date: 10th June 2010 / Thursday

Time: 4.30 pm – 6.00 pm

Brief Description:

o This sex education and basic health care had been delivered in the students’ dormitory

o Sex education talk was conducted by Sr. Siti Nor Ashiah with the help of Powerpoint slides and posters.

o Mini exhibition on hygiene and sanitation and first aid care was held.

o Sr. Nur Zila conducted Breast Self-Examination session.

o The session was followed by question and answer with the students as well as sharing session.

Program 4: Team Building

Date: 10th June 2010 / Thursday

Time: 8.30 pm - 11.30 pm

8.45 pm: Warm-up and group division (6 groups) by Sr. Nazhiyah

9.00 pm: Game 1: “Lingkaran Ukhuwwah” conducted by Sr. Iman and Sr. Najwa ‘Abidah

9.30 pm: Game 2: “Bersatu Teguh Bercerai Roboh” conducted by Sr. Nazhiyah and Sr. Nabilah

10.00 pm: Game 3: “Air Dicincang Takkan Putus” conducted by Sr. Nadzirah and Sr. Solehah

10.30 pm: Game 4: “Anjakan Paradigma” conducted by Sr. Siti Nor Ashiah and Sr. Nur Zila

Program 5: Malam Wida'

o Welcoming remarks by Master of Ceremony, Sr. Ratna (Pondok Pesantren)

o Recitation of the Quran by Pondok Pesantren student

o Opening speech by Ustaz Fuad from Pondok Pesantren

o Speech by team’s representative, Sr. Najwa ‘Abidah

9.00 pm: Performance by Pondok Pesantren students

10.00 pm: Performance by IIUM students

10.30 pm: Last words: ‘Mutiara Motivasi’ by Sr. Najwa ‘Abidah

11.00 pm: Dismiss

Achievements:

  • During the whole stay, the ukhuwwah between the team and Pondok Pesantren staff and students had been nicely developed, and so teamwork amongst the students.
  • Motivation and study tips had been shared with the students.
  • Importance of English had been conveyed to the students in casual way.
  • The team had taken the opportunity to distribute research questionnaires.

Feedbacks:

  • The team had shared beneficial knowledge and skills with Pondok Pesantren students and staffs.
  • The team’s presence there indirectly giving them motivation to be a better person in the future.

Kembara 2 Gempa: Outreach Program 4

HOUSE-TO-HOUSE HEALTH EDUCATION PROGRAM

Date / Day: 6 - 8th June 2010 / Sunday – Tuesday

Time: 8.00 am – 12.30 pm

Venue:

  1. Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Shelter, Jorong Kubuk, Nagari Sungai Batang, Tanjung Raya
  2. Jorong Kukuban, Nagari Maninjau, Tanjung Raya
  3. Jorong Sungai Tampang, Nagari Tanjung Sani, Tanjung Raya

Participant: 70 houses of the above villages.

Accompanying Officers: Staffs of Pondok Pesantren Prof Dr HAMKA.

Objectives:

  1. To foster closer Islamic brotherhood among the team and the locals.
  2. To put the team’s medical knowledge into practice by providing basic medical checkup as well as enlightening the locals regarding healthy lifestyle.
  3. To distribute questionnaires for eligible residents for the team’s research.
  4. To channel collected donation to appropriate party.

Brief Description:

  • Shelter and village heads were consulted for permission and advice prior to the house visit.
  • The team was divided into two smaller groups and each moved in different areas.
  • During the visit, blood pressure and blood glucose measurement were done, followed by consultation on healthy lifestyle.
  • In ACT Shelter and Jorong Sungai Tampang, questionnaires were given to the residents during the house visit.
  • Donations were given to the shelter and village heads.

Achievements:

  • The importance of adapting healthy lifestyle was successfully conveyed to the locals.
  • Donations collected from Malaysians were given to reliable authority.
  • The team had the opportunity to distribute questionnaire for the team’s research.

Feedbacks:

  • The visits were warmly welcomed by the locals.
  • The casual way of delivering health education through house visits was new to them and perceived as interesting.

Kembara 2 Gempa: Outreach Program 3

DISASTER PREPAREDNESS AND HEALTH EDUCATION

Date: 23th May 2010 / Friday

Time: 2.30 pm – 6.00 pm

Venue: Pondok Puteri Pos Keadilan Peduli Umat (PKPU) - IHH, Cot Suruy, Blang Bintang, Aceh Besar

Participant: 80 students aged 9-18 years old

Accompanying Officer: Dr Rosaria Indah, Pondok Puteri staffs

Objectives:

  1. To foster ukhuwwah Islamiyyah with the orphans of Pondok Puteri PKPU.
  2. To share with the orphans information regarding hygiene, first aid, sexual education, and disaster preparedness.
  3. To train the orphans on how to prepare and react during an earthquake.
  4. To distribute the donations collected from Malaysia.

Tentative:

3.15 pm: Talk on “Disaster Preparedness” by Sr. Najwa ‘Abidah

Achievements:

  • Ukhuwwah and rapport was successfully developed among participants and facilitators.
  • The session had successfully conveyed the importance of adapting healthy lifestyle.
  • The team had effectively conducted the “earthquake simulation”.
  • The moments refreshed the team on the importance of kindness to orphans
  • The team was able to distribute research questionnaires to appropriate respondents.

Feedbacks:

  • The students took the program as a medium to strengthen ukhuwwah with the team, and to gain new knowledge on healthy lifestyle and disaster preparedness.
  • The team’s presence there indirectly inspired them to study well and pursue higher education.

MEDICAL CHECKUP & HEALTH EDUCATION PROGRAM

Date: 22nd May 2010 / Saturday

Time: 8.00 am – 12.30 pm

Venue: Meunasah Gampong Paya Roh, Lampeuneurut, Banda Aceh

Participant: 65 residents of Gampong Paya Roh

Accompanying Officer: Bapak Baharudin, Village Head (Pak Keuchik)

Objectives:

  1. To foster closer Islamic brotherhood among the team, as guest to the village, and the villagers.
  2. To share the team’s medical knowledge with the villagers.
  3. To put the team’s knowledge into practice by providing basic medical checkup and enlightening them concerning healthy lifestyle.

Tentative:

8.30am: Arrival of villagers and village head

8.45am: Opening ceremony

o Welcoming remarks by Master of Ceremony, Sr. Nadzirah bt Abdullah

  • The program served as a good platform for the team to meet and mingle with the villagers and to strengthen Ukhuwwah Islamiyyah between guests and locals.
  • The session had successfully conveyed the importance of adapting healthy lifestyle and screened for risks of hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus.
  • The team had the opportunity to distribute research questionnaires among suitable residents.

Feedback:

  • The locals took the program as a medium to strengthen ukhuwwah with the team.
  • The new knowledge on healthy lifestyle was beneficial to the participants.

HYPERTENSION & HEALTHY LIFESTYLE EDUCATION PROGRAM

Date: 18th May 2010 / Tuesday
Time: 4.00 pm – 6.00 pm
Venue: Meunasah Desa Beuraweh, Banda Aceh
Participants: 30 ladies of Desa Beuraweh
Accompanying Officer: Dr Rosaria Indah


Objectives:
1. To foster closer Islamic brotherhood among the team and the ladies.
2. To put the team’s knowledge into practice by providing blood pressure measurement and

enlightening them concerning healthy lifestyle.
3. To distribute questionnaires for the team’s research to suitable subjects.


Brief Description:
· The program was a substitute for the Meunasah’s routine religious classes.
· A talk on Hypertension and healthy Lifestyle was delivered by Sr. Iman bt Jeffrey, with the help of posters. Islamic perspective on health care was also addressed.
· The talk was followed by question and answer session with the audiences and blood pressure measurement.
· Audiences were given personal consultation regarding their blood pressure status.


Achievements:
· The session had successfully conveyed the importance of adapting healthy lifestyle and preventing hypertension.
· The team had the opportunity to distribute research questionnaires.


Feedbacks:
· The locals described the information on hypertension as beneficial.
· Islamic perspective on health care was well-accepted, in customary with their religious belief.
· The locals warmly welcomed the team and such program.
