HYPERTENSION & HEALTHY LIFESTYLE EDUCATION PROGRAM

Venue: Meunasah Desa Beuraweh, Banda Aceh
Participants: 30 ladies of Desa Beuraweh
Accompanying Officer: Dr Rosaria Indah
Objectives:
1. To foster closer Islamic brotherhood among the team and the ladies.
2. To put the team’s knowledge into practice by providing blood pressure measurement and
enlightening them concerning healthy lifestyle.
3. To distribute questionnaires for the team’s research to suitable subjects.
Brief Description:
· The program was a substitute for the Meunasah’s routine religious classes.
· A talk on Hypertension and healthy Lifestyle was delivered by Sr. Iman bt Jeffrey, with the help of posters. Islamic perspective on health care was also addressed.
· The talk was followed by question and answer session with the audiences and blood pressure measurement.
· Audiences were given personal consultation regarding their blood pressure status.
Achievements:
· The session had successfully conveyed the importance of adapting healthy lifestyle and preventing hypertension.
· The team had the opportunity to distribute research questionnaires.
Feedbacks:
· The locals described the information on hypertension as beneficial.
· Islamic perspective on health care was well-accepted, in customary with their religious belief.
· The locals warmly welcomed the team and such program.
Dalam bahasa ringkasnya, hari pertama kami jumpa Dr Rosa yang cantik manis, terus beliau buat plan tempat2 yang kami harus pergi, dan aktivitinya. ketika beliau tanya siapa yang boleh bagi talk, mata beliau tertancap pada Iman. Automatic Iman setuju :)
ReplyDeleteAlhamdulillah, mudah sekali kami dapat peluang untuk bersilaturrahmi dengan saudara seAqidah di sana, sambil berkongsi ilmu dan mencari responden research..
malam itu, dengan mata yang separa tertutup kami menyiapkan bahan-bahan penerangan. Maka terhasillah poster yang siap berhias corak dan gambar, dan handout..
Alhamdulillah, segalanya dipermudahkan, ibu-ibu di sana sangat ramah dan cepat mesra. langsung tak terasa yang itu baru pertama kali bertemu. Dr rosa juga memudahkan perbezaan bahasa kami dengan memberikan tambahan penerangan dalam bahasa aceh. Dr sangat versatil!
Dan kami, hingga kini, masih belum lulus menyebut 'Beu' pada nama 'beuraweh', walaupun sepanjang perjalanan asyik dilatih oleh supir kami. katanya, bibir bawah harus dijuih ke depan!
